This northwestern Pennsylvania power player can get to the essence of any issue, break it down in analytic terms, and will tell you straight up what can and can’t be done. Sixteen years as a member of the state Senate has cultivated Jane’s no-nonsense, direct approach and her active, established relationships. The two combined help her strip issues down to the facts and identify effective strategies that get results.
Jane left the legislature in 2012 after 16 years of service representing the 49th District. Elected as a Republican in the predominantly Democratic district, she represented the City of Erie and several of the surrounding municipalities. During her tenure, Jane chaired several committees including Finance, Urban Affairs and Housing, and Community and Economic Development.
Prior to her election to public office, Senator Earll established herself as a respected legal professional. She practiced law for over 12 years in both the public and private sector, including seven years as an Assistant District Attorney.
At various times, Jane has served as an appointee to the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency and on the Board of Governors for the State System of Higher Education. She has also served on boards and advisory committees to Soldiers and Sailors Home, Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission, Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency, and the nationally recognized Vera Institute, an organization responsible for analysis of state sentencing and correction strategies. She is one of the three delegates on the Great Lakes Commission.
Currently, Jane sits on the Board of Directors of Erie Bank.
Jane is a lifelong resident of Erie County. She is married to Jack Daneri, Esq., who is the District Attorney of Erie County. Jane attended high school at St. Benedict’s Academy in Erie, received her B.A. from Allegheny College and her Law Degree from Ohio Northern University Law School in Ohio.
